My experience with Cochlear Implants started in April 2015.  Before the implantation, I had suffered from severe hearing loss that subjected me to a lot of difficulties in my social life.  I used to go quite often to audiologists to repair and adjust my hearing aid that I am used to, but then I got tired of the situation and have decided to go for the Cochlear Implant option.  My life has changed 180 degrees after the surgery, as I have started to discover more unusual sounds that I have not heard before, and it gave me more confidence in my social life and gave me more independence.   In a nutshell, I recommend everyone who is suffering from severe hearing loss to do the surgery, and to be open minded to any available opportunity.  Life is so much better now :)
